Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 47-1215

  • Carcasses of domestic animals: means bodies, or any part or portion thereof, of dead domestic animals not slaughtered for human food. See Kansas Statutes 47-1201
  • Commissioner: means the animal health commissioner of the state of Kansas. See Kansas Statutes 47-1201
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The commissioner may adopt and enforce such reasonable rules and regulations relating to transportation of carcasses of domestic animals and packing house refuse, specifications for disposal plants, substations, places of transfer, equipment and vehicles, and all operations in connection therewith, as the commissioner deems advisable and which are not inconsistent with provisions of this act. All such rules and regulations shall be filed with the secretary of state.
