- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- State: means a state, territory, or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See Kansas Statutes 56-1a,101
A limited partnership may conduct or promote any lawful business or purposes, except as otherwise provided by law of this state, which a partnership without limited partners may conduct or promote.
