Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 58-224
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Person: means an individual or an organization as defined in Kan. See Kansas Statutes 58-241
The mailing of a registered or certified letter with a return address marked thereon, addressed to the owner or owners, at their address given at the time of delivery of the article or articles to a person, firm, partnership, or corporation to render any of the services or labors as set out in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 58-222 and 58-223, stating the time and place of sale, shall constitute notice. Said notice shall be at least thirty (30) days before the date of sale. The cost of posting or mailing said letter shall be added to the charges.
