- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
If a broker claiming a lien pursuant to this act fails to file suit to enforce the lien within 30 days after a properly served written demand of the owner, the lien shall be extinguished. Service of such demand shall be by restricted mail as defined by Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 60-103 and amendments thereto or by personal service.
