If after the payment of legacies or distribution it becomes necessary that the same or any part thereof be refunded for the payment of debts or other items, the amount necessary to be refunded shall be apportioned among the legatees and distributees according to their liability for payment as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 59-1405.
