Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 60-465a
- Chief judge: The judge who has primary responsibility for the administration of a court but also decides cases; chief judges are determined by seniority.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Writing: means handwriting, typewriting, printing, photostating, photographing and every other means of recording upon any tangible thing any form or communication or representation, including letters, words, pictures, sounds, or symbols, or combinations thereof. See Kansas Statutes 60-401
The photographs, microphotographs or photographic film or prints or reproductions of the original records as authorized in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 20-159 and amendments thereto shall be deemed to be an original record for all purposes, and may be used as evidence in all courts or administrative agencies. A copy thereof, certified in writing by the person designated by the chief judge of the judicial district as having custody of such reproduction, may be used as evidence in all courts or administrative agencies.
