Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 61-3104

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • seal: includes an impression of the seal upon the paper alone, as well as upon wax or a wafer affixed to the paper. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Subpoenas may be issued by the clerk of the district court under the seal of such court or by the judge to compel the attendance of witnesses or for the production of documentary evidence in the manner provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 60-245, and Kan. Stat. Ann. § 60-245a, and amendments thereto. Subpoenas shall be served in accordance with Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 61-3001 through 61-3006, and amendments thereto, and shall be accompanied by the fees for one day’s attendance and the mileage allowed by law.
