- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Person: means any individual, firm, partnership, corporation or other association of persons. See Kansas Statutes 65-171j
- Secretary: means the secretary of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-1,114
The secretary of health and environment is hereby directed and empowered to inspect or cause to be inspected the places mentioned in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-172, or any amendments thereto, and to make such rules and regulations as are necessary to safeguard the public health and to prevent the spread of contagious or infectious diseases; and any person violating any such rules or regulations shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50) nor less than five dollars ($5).
