Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-6a39

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The district courts are vested with jurisdiction specifically to enforce and to prevent and restrain violations of this act, and shall have jurisdiction in all other kinds of cases arising under this act, except as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-6a24(e).
