Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 66-1603

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Utility: means any "public utility" as defined in Kan. See Kansas Statutes 66-1601

In any civil action brought pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 66-1602, the utility may recover as damages three times the amount of actual damages, if any, plus the costs of the suit as defined in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 60-2003.
