- Commission: means the state corporation commission. See Kansas Statutes 66-101a
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
As applied to regulation of natural gas public utilities, the provisions of this act and all grants of power, authority and jurisdiction herein made to the commission shall be liberally construed, and all incidental powers necessary to carry into effect the provisions of this act are expressly granted to and conferred upon the commission.
