- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Any railroad company neglecting or refusing to comply with the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 66-230 shall be liable for all damages sustained by anyone by reason of such neglect and refusal; and in order for the injured party to recover all damages he has sustained it will only be necessary for him to prove such neglect or refusal.
