- Board: means the board of county commissioners of counties such as defined in subsection (b) hereof;
(b) "county" means any county in which there is located any land which has been or is to be inundated as a result of the construction of any dam or reservoir by the federal government or in which there is any land which is within the "take line" of any such reservoir, and in which as a result of such construction any county road or bridge has been or is to be abandoned or relocated or is to be constructed or reconstructed on the same or another site or right of way;
(c) "federal government" shall mean the government of the United States or any agency, department or officer thereof. See Kansas Statutes 68-151m
All persons required to render services underchapter 68 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto, shall receive compensation for each day they shall necessarily be employed, as follows, to wit: On the part of the board of county commissioners while acting as viewers, the usual salary as a county commissioner and their actual expense in going to and returning from such view. Viewers, other than members of the board of county commissioners, chain carriers, flagmen, markers, and such other labor as may be necessary, shall receive the usual prevailing wages for such employees, as determined by the board of county commissioners. The payment of said services shall be charged as costs and expenses, and paid as other costs and expenses, on the order of the commissioners: Provided, That the surveyor shall be paid for his services in the manner prescribed by law.
