- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
Any school district which is authorized to make a tax levy under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 72-53,121, and amendments thereto, may issue and sell general obligation bonds based upon and in lieu of making all or part of such tax levy. Any bonds issued under authority of this section shall be subject to like limitations as bonds issued under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 72-53,117, and amendments thereto, and shall be issued in the same manner.
