Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 74-49a29

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

Notwithstanding the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 74-4916 to the contrary, the board of trustees of the Kansas public employees retirement system, upon presentation of satisfactory evidence, may authorize any individual who was first employed by a participating employer on July 1, 1952, and who became a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system on January 1, 1962, and was continuously on the payroll of such employer until May 31, 1968, and returned to the payroll of such employer on October 2, 1969, to waive the time limits for making application for accidental total disability benefits; but such waiver shall apply only to said time limits.
