Notwithstanding the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 74-4913 and amendments thereto, any person who is a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system and who did not receive a refund of such member’s accumulated contributions upon termination of employment with a participating employer shall receive participating service credit for service after January 1, 1991, as an employee of the legislative branch of the state of Kansas. Any person receiving participating service credit pursuant to this section shall not be entitled to any benefit provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 46-1302 and amendments thereto.
