Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 74-532
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
The grading and inspection services provided for in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 74-531, and amendments thereto, shall be furnished either independently or in cooperation with any federal or state agency, to any person, group of persons, partnership, firm, company, corporation or association engaged in the production, marketing or processing of farm products who requests such services for such person’s products when in the judgment of the secretary, such services are warranted.
