Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 74-7027

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • seal: includes an impression of the seal upon the paper alone, as well as upon wax or a wafer affixed to the paper. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.

In performing its powers, duties and functions under the provisions of this act, the board shall have authority to issue an order under its seal compelling the attendance and testimony of witnesses or compelling the production of books, papers, records, documents or other evidence at any hearing before the board involving the revocation or suspension of license or certificate of authorization issued under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 74-7036, and amendments thereto, or practicing or offering to practice without a license or certificate of authorization issued under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 74-7036, and amendments thereto. All such hearings shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Kansas administrative procedure act.
