(a) If costs are assessed against the state or any agency of the state pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 60-211, and amendments thereto, the head of the state agency which conducted the litigation shall report the assessment, its amount and the reason for it to the speaker and the minority leader of the Kansas house of representatives and to the president and the minority leader of the Kansas senate within 30 days after entry of the order assessing the costs against the state or state agency.
(b) Payment of costs assessed against the state or a state agency pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 60-211, and amendments thereto shall be made from the operating budget of the state agency which conducted the litigation.
