Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-5276

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

(a) All state agencies shall purchase from the secretary all articles or products required by such state agencies that are produced by inmates and no such article or product shall be purchased by any state agency from any other source, unless excepted from the provisions of this section by law or in accordance with Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-5277, and amendments thereto.

(b) The federal government, state employees for their personal use, other states, local agencies and organizations may purchase from the secretary such articles, products or services that are produced or provided by inmates under the prison-made goods act and state agencies may purchase from the secretary such services as are provided by inmates.
