Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-7047

On and after July 1, 1997, any comprehensive plan submitted pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-7038 through 75-7053, and amendments thereto, may include the purchase of selected juvenile correctional services by contract, including the purchase of services for the temporary detention and confinement of juvenile offenders. The commissioner of juvenile justice shall annually determine the costs of the purchase of services under this section and deduct them from the grant payable to the county or, in the case of cooperating counties, the grants payable to the counties. In no case shall the charges for juvenile correctional services under such contract with the state exceed in cost the amount of the grant the county is eligible for or, in the case of cooperating counties, the total amount of the grants the counties are eligible to receive under Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-7038 through 75-7053, and amendments thereto.
