- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
No individual shall investigate any complaint filed with the office of the state long-term care ombudsman unless the individual has received the training required under subsection (f) of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-7306, and amendments thereto, and has been designated by the state long-term care ombudsman as an ombudsman or a voluntary ombudsman qualified to investigate such complaints.
