Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-7b23

  • Private detective: means any person who, for any consideration whatsoever, engages in detective business. See Kansas Statutes 75-7b01
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The attorney general shall remit all moneys received from fees or charges imposed pursuant to this act to the state treasurer in accordance with the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-4215, and amendments thereto. Upon receipt of each such remittance, the state treasurer shall deposit the entire amount in the state treasury to the credit of the private detective fee fund, which is hereby created. Moneys in the private detective fee fund shall be used solely for the purpose of administering and implementing Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-7b01 through 75-7b21, and amendments thereto, and any other law relating to the licensure and regulation of private detectives and private detective agencies. All expenditures from such fund shall be made in accordance with appropriation acts upon warrants of the director of accounts and reports issued pursuant to vouchers approved by the attorney general or by a person or persons designated by the attorney general.
