Employees of each institution shall be appointed by the superintendent of the institution. All employees so appointed shall be in the classified service under the Kansas civil service act, except physicians who shall be in the unclassified service under the Kansas civil service act and as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-2935, and amendments thereto, or any other statute.
