Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 77-421b

  • Joint committee: Committees including membership from both houses of teh legislature. Joint committees are usually established with narrow jurisdictions and normally lack authority to report legislation.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

As soon as possible after the filing of any proposed rules and regulations by a state agency as required by subsection (a) of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 77-421, and amendments thereto, the secretary of state shall submit to the joint committee on administrative rules and regulations one copy of the proposed rules and regulations. Upon completion of the sixty-day comment period required by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 77-421, and amendments thereto, the secretary of state may discard copies of the proposed rules and regulations that are subject to the comment period.
