Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 8-2440
- motor vehicle: includes micro utility trucks, as defined in Kan. See Kansas Statutes 8-2401
- New motor vehicle: means any motor vehicle that has never been titled or registered and has not been substantially driven or operated. See Kansas Statutes 8-2401
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

If a transaction for the sale of a new motor vehicle which does not take place in the state of Kansas requires or allows delivery in the state of Kansas, then such new motor vehicle shall be deemed to have been sold in this state for purposes of meeting the definition set forth in subsection (a)(2) of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 50-645, and amendments thereto, upon delivery of such motor vehicle within the state of Kansas to a consumer as defined in subsection (a)(1) of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 50-645, and amendments thereto, and the new motor vehicle shall thereafter be subject to the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 50-645 and 50-646, and amendments thereto.
