Terms Used In Kansas Statutes > Chapter 74 > Article 47 - Insurance by Public Agencies

  • Committee: means the committee on surety bonds and insurance. See Kansas Statutes 74-4717
  • Department: means the department of administration. See Kansas Statutes 74-4717
  • Insurance: means and includes every type of insurance on property. See Kansas Statutes 74-4701
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Secretary: means the secretary of administration. See Kansas Statutes 74-4717
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • State agency: means any state office or officer, department, board, commission, institution, bureau or any agency, division or unit within any office, department, board, or other state authority. See Kansas Statutes 74-4701
  • vehicle: shall include motor vehicles, vehicles and mobile equipment. See Kansas Statutes 74-4707
