The office may, with the approval of the cabinet, transfer title, lease, or assign custody or other interest or right therein, or contract for the custody, maintenance, and operation of a nature preserve or other real property with another public agency or private organization. Such transfer, lease, assignment or contract must be consistent with the purposes of KRS
146.410 to 146.530.
