The Commonwealth, the authority, or any officer, director, official, employee, or agent of the Commonwealth or the authority shall not be liable to any investor, investment fund, or investment fund manager as a result of KRS § 154.20-250 to KRS § 154.20-284, or any of the activities authorized by KRS § 154.20-250 to KRS § 154.20-284. This limitation of liability includes, without limitation:
(1) Losses or damages investors incur in connection with any committed or contributed cash contributions made to an investment fund or any qualified investments made by an investment fund in small businesses; and
(2) Any claim, liability, obligation, loss, damage, assessment, judgment, cost, and expense of any kind or character relating to federal or state securities laws, rules, regulations, or orders.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 154.20-279
- Authority: means the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, consisting of a committee as set forth in KRS §. See Kentucky Statutes 154.1-010
- Commonwealth: means the Commonwealth of Kentucky. See Kentucky Statutes 154.1-010
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Federal: refers to the United States. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- State: means the Commonwealth of Kentucky. See Kentucky Statutes 154.1-010
(2) Any claim, liability, obligation, loss, damage, assessment, judgment, cost, and expense of any kind or character relating to federal or state securities laws, rules, regulations, or orders.
