(1) The following positions shall be created within the Department of Kentucky State
Police:
(a) Commercial vehicle enforcement officers;
(b) Commercial vehicle enforcement officers R Class; (c) Arson investigator officers;
(d) Hazardous devices investigator officers; (e) Facilities security officers; and
(f) Legislative security specialists.
(2) These positions shall be appointed pursuant to KRS § 16.188 and shall be utilized by the commissioner to enforce the laws of the Commonwealth and to comply with federal and state mandates.
