(1) The Division of Kentucky Health Information Exchange is hereby created in the Office of Inspector General. The division shall provide leadership in the redesign of the health care delivery system using electronic information technology as a means to improve patient care and reduce medical errors and duplicative services.
(2) The Office of Inspector General shall promulgate administrative regulations in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A to implement the provisions of this section.
