The provisions of KRS § 138.870 to KRS § 138.889 shall not apply to any individual or entity for: (1) Any amount of medicinal cannabis that is necessary or reasonably necessary for use
of a license or registry identification card issued by the cabinet; or
(2) Any use of medicinal cannabis that complies with this chapter and any administrative regulations promulgated thereunder.
