The district may acquire by gift, devise, bequest, grant or purchase solely from the funds provided under the authority of KRS § 220.010 to KRS § 220.520, such real property and interests therein as are necessary to accomplish its purpose, upon terms, privies or considerations deemed reasonable by the board of directors and agreed upon by the board and the owner. Title to all property acquired by the board shall be taken in the corporate name of the district.

  • Devise: To gift property by will.
  • Directors: when applied to corporations, includes managers or trustees. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • Owner: when applied to any animal, means any person having a property interest in such animal. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
