(1) As used in this section, “third-party payor” means any person required to comply with KRS § 304.17A-611(2) or 205.536(3).
(2) Prior to the discharge of a patient that has received medication for addiction- treatment, the treating facility shall submit a written discharge plan to the patient, and the patient’s third-party payor, if any, which shall describe arrangements for additional services needed following discharge.

- Patient: means any person admitted to a hospital or a licensed substance use disorder treatment program. See Kentucky Statutes 222.005
- Treatment: includes those services provided by the cabinet in KRS §. See Kentucky Statutes 222.005
