(1) Every corporation formed under KRS § 279.310 to KRS § 279.600 shall be subject to the general supervision of the Public Service Commission, and shall be subject to all the provisions of KRS § 278.010 to KRS § 278.450 inclusive, and KRS § 278.530 and
278.990.
(2) The provisions of the general corporation laws of this state and all rights and powers thereunder shall apply to corporations organized under KRS § 279.310 to
279.600, except where such provisions are in conflict with or inconsistent with the express provisions of KRS § 279.310 to KRS § 279.600.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 279.540
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Corporation: means a profit or nonprofit corporation formed under the laws of any state or a foreign country. See Kentucky Statutes 279.010
- State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
