(1) No insurance policy for homeowners, dwelling fire, automobile, accident and health, life or other forms of personal insurance shall be delivered, issued for delivery, amended or renewed in this state after the effective date set out in subsection (2) of this section unless the policy is in compliance with the provisions of this section and KRS § 304.14-430 to KRS § 304.14-450.
(2) The commissioner shall, within one (1) year from July 15, 1988, promulgate administrative regulations in accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 13A to carry out the provisions of this section and KRS § 304.14-430 to KRS § 304.14-450 and to establish minimum standards for the readability and intelligibility of insurance contracts. Within one (1) year of the effective date of the administrative regulations all insurers licensed to transact business shall comply with the standards set out by this section and KRS § 304.14-430 to KRS § 304.14-450 and promulgated by the commissioner.
