Kentucky Statutes 351.1045 – Required new miner training course and site visits for members of the Mine Safety Review Commission

The members of the Mine Safety Review Commission shall complete a forty (40) hour new miner training course if they have not completed the course within the previous two (2) years. In addition, they shall participate in a site visit of an underground mine and a surface coal mine and thereafter make a site visit of an underground mine at least every three (3) years.

- Commission: means the Mine Safety Review Commission created by KRS
351. See Kentucky Statutes 351.010 - Mine: means any open pit or any underground workings from which coal is produced for sale, exchange, or commercial use, and all shafts, slopes, drifts, or inclines leading thereto, and includes all buildings and equipment, above or below the surface of the ground, used in connection with the workings.
