In appointing a guardian, limited guardian, or conservator, the District Court shall appoint any person or entity whose appointment would be in the best interest of the minor, taking into consideration the ability of the person or entity to manage and preserve the minor’s estate, and taking into consideration the person or entity nominated pursuant to KRS
387.040 or 387.050.
