Kentucky Statutes 48.050 – Submission of budget unit requests

On or before October 1 of each odd-numbered year, the head of each budget unit shall submit its budget unit request to:
(1) The Office of State Budget Director, in the case of the executive branch; (2) The Chief Justice, in the case of the judicial branch;
(3) The director of the Legislative Research Commission, in the case of the legislative branch; and
(4) The Legislative Research Commission.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 48.050
- Budget: means the complete financial plan for each fiscal year contained in a branch budget bill provided for by this chapter. See Kentucky Statutes 48.010
- Budget unit request: means a detailed statement of the financial requirements of a budget unit by principal budget class, and an estimate of its receipts and expenditures for the next two (2) fiscal years, with the accompanying explanations provided for by this chapter. See Kentucky Statutes 48.010
- State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
- Year: means calendar year. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
(3) The director of the Legislative Research Commission, in the case of the legislative branch; and
(4) The Legislative Research Commission.
