The governing body of a county shall not adopt any resolution authorized by KRS § 80.320,
80.340, 80.350 or 80.360 with regard to a regional housing authority unless a public hearing has first been held. The clerk of that county shall give notice of the public hearing by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. Upon the date fixed for such public hearing an opportunity to be heard shall be granted to all residents of that county and to all other interested persons.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 80.400

  • authority: means any housing authority created pursuant to this chapter. See Kentucky Statutes 80.010
  • Clerk: means the clerk of the city or the clerk of the county, as the case may be, or the officer charged with the duties customarily imposed on such clerk. See Kentucky Statutes 80.010
  • Governing body: means , in the case of a city, the city council, the commission, board of commissioners, board of aldermen, or other legislative body of the city, and in the case of a county, the fiscal court. See Kentucky Statutes 80.010
  • Housing: means a building or buildings containing rooms to be provided as living quarters, together with shops, stores, garages, laundries, doctors' and dentists' offices, and other facilities and appurtenances deemed reasonably necessary by the housing authority to the successful and economical operation of the project. See Kentucky Statutes 80.010
