Nothing in KRS § 107.720 to KRS § 107.750 shall be construed to limit a political subdivision’s ability to own, operate, maintain or finance the acquisition, construction, operation or maintenance of drinking water, water or wastewater treatment systems whether or not a privatization project comprises a portion of or is otherwise connected to any such system.
