The governmental unit may issue new bonds to provide funds for the payment of any outstanding bonds, in accordance with the procedure prescribed by KRS § 183.630 to
183.740. The new bonds shall be secured to the same extent and shall have the same source of payment as the bonds refunded.

- governmental unit: means any city, or the combination of any two (2) or more thereof, or any county, urban-county government, or combination of two (2) or more such counties, city or cities, acting jointly with any county or counties or an airboard or board established as provided in this chapter.
