Any self-insured employer-organized association group holding a certificate of filing pursuant to KRS § 304.17A-800 to KRS § 304.17A-844 is deemed to have appointed the Secretary of State as its attorney to receive service of legal process issued against it in Kentucky. This appointment shall be irrevocable, shall bind any successor in interest, and shall remain in effect as long as there are in this state any health liabilities.

- Association: means an entity, other than an employer-organized association, that has been organized and is maintained in good faith for purposes other than that of obtaining insurance for its members and that has a constitution and bylaws. See Kentucky Statutes 304.17A-005
- Attorney: means attorney-at-law. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
- Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
- State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
