No application or petition for injunction against any domestic, foreign, or alien society, or lodge thereof, shall be recognized in any court of this state unless made by the Attorney General upon request of the commissioner.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 304.29-321

  • Attorney: means attorney-at-law. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Domestic: when applied to a corporation, partnership, business trust, or limited liability company, means all those incorporated or formed by authority of this state. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Foreign: when applied to a corporation, partnership, limited partnership, business trust, statutory trust, or limited liability company, includes all those incorporated or formed by authority of any other state. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • Lodge: shall mean subordinate member units of the society, known as camps, courts, councils, branches or by any other designation. See Kentucky Statutes 304.29-041
  • Society: shall mean fraternal benefit society, unless otherwise indicated. See Kentucky Statutes 304.29-041
  • State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
