(1) Any person having a lien under KRS § 376.360 to KRS § 376.380 against a vessel may unite in an action to enforce the lien, and any person having a lien who is not so united may, by petition filed by leave of court, become a plaintiff in any action pending to enforce a lien without the issuing of additional process.
(2) Any lien given by KRS § 376.360 to KRS § 376.380 shall not be enforced against a purchaser without actual notice thereof unless action is instituted within one (1) year from the time the cause of action accrued, or unless notice thereof is endorsed on or attached to the enrollment of the vessel.
