(1) The remedies provided by KRS § 383.505 to KRS § 383.715 shall be so administered that an aggrieved party may recover appropriate damages. The aggrieved party has a duty to mitigate damages.
(2) Any right or obligation declared by KRS § 383.505 to KRS § 383.715 is enforceable by action unless the provision declaring it specifies a different and limited effect.

- Action: includes all proceedings in any court of this state. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
