In applying and construing the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act, KRS § 387.810 to KRS § 387.854, consideration shall be given to the need to promote uniformity of the law with respect to its subject matter among states that enact it.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
