Kentucky Statutes 45.001 – Capital Development Committee

(1) The Capital Development Committee is created. The committee shall ensure the proper coordination of state government initiatives which impact the City of Frankfort and Franklin County government and are unique to the seat of state government.
(2) The committee shall meet at least semiannually at a time and place announced by the chairperson.
(3) The membership of the committee shall consist of the following members or their designees:
(a) The mayor of the city of Frankfort;
(b) The county judge/executive of Franklin County;
(c) The secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet; (d) The secretary of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet; (e) The secretary of the Education and Labor Cabinet;
(f) The commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Tourism;
(g) The chairman of the Frankfort/Franklin County Tourist and Convention
Commission;
(h) A citizen at large, who is a resident of Franklin County, appointed by the
Franklin County judge/executive; and
(i) A citizen at large, who is a resident of Frankfort, appointed by the mayor of the city of Frankfort.
The citizen-at-large members of the committee shall be appointed to a term of four
(4) years each.
(4) The Governor shall appoint the chairperson of the committee. (5) Members of the committee shall serve without compensation.
(6) The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall provide administrative support to the committee.
