Terms Used In Louisiana Children's Code 762
- Child: means a person under eighteen years of age who, prior to proceedings under this Title, has not been judicially emancipated or emancipated by marriage. See Louisiana Children's Code 728
The hearing on the petition to declare the family in need of services may be consolidated with a hearing on a petition to declare a child delinquent or a petition to declare a child in need of care.
