- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
A. It shall be unlawful for any person over the age of seventeen to intentionally recruit, entice, aid, solicit, or encourage any child under the age of eighteen to commit the offense of carjacking as defined in La. Rev. Stat. 14:64.2.
B. Whoever violates the provisions of this Section shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than five years and for not more than twenty years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
